Senior Accountant

KBW Financial has partnered with an established organization based out of Worcester County that is actively looking to add a Senior Accountant to their growing team! The Senior Accountant will report to the Director of Finance and Accounting, and assist with reconciliations, budgeting, financial statements, and audit preparation. The Senior Accountant will perform the following:

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal departments to monitor incoming deposits, analyze revenue trends, and support ongoing metric tracking and financial analysis.
• Assist with the revenue recognition process, including review of cash activity, analysis of contractual adjustments, and identification of bad debt exposure.
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting deliverables.
• Prepare financial statements and internal reporting packages in accordance with company policies and deadlines.
• Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules, review construction-in-progress (CIP) accounts, and ensure proper documentation for audit support.
• Develop and deliver ad hoc financial reports and analyses for leadership, offering insights into trends, variances, and operational performance.
• Participate in cross-training within the accounting team to ensure adequate coverage of key functions such as payroll, accounts payable, and general ledger.
• Perform general ledger account reconciliations and variance analysis, identifying errors, trends, and opportunities for process improvement.
